The BlackCat: October 19 RACECAR played in between The Lilys and Holiday. Holiday were jangly and happy as always and The Lilys were fantastic. If you get a chance to see The Lilys, keep your eyes on the keyboardist. Don't ask, just do it. RACECAR started off with "Drew, I'm Blue". Then they kicked in with their faster, poppier stuff. They were really jamming with the audience in full dance mode until the unspeakable happened, [no, Jina didn't do something stupid again (-Hey! I resent that!-Jina)] Brian broke a bass string. So the set ended early. To the delight of RACECAR, the crowd was really disappointed! RACECAR was disappointed not to play their full set too but, oh well, it happens!

The BlackCat: September 10 Although The Godrays had to cancel due to a broken down van in Delaware, RACECAR and Lois put on a great show. RACECAR went on stage 1 hour later, 10:00pm, and Lois at 11:00pm. Some of the new RACECAR posters were given out after the show and the crowd seemed very pleased. Next time maybe Brad will remember not to talk near the camera while recording. ;-) And bring an extra tape too!

Brownies: September 4 The lineup at Brownies consisted of Sun, Scout, RACECAR, and Delphine. (Belltower was scheduled, but Delphine played in their place.) Delphine is comprised of X-members from Blondie and the Go-Go's. Cathy Valentine was especially nice and personally requested a RACECAR poster. She also had to borrow Chris's amp.

9:30 Club: June 29 This was a great show at 9:30. The sound was amazing, the lights were amazing, and the beer was amazing. RACECAR played second, after Lucky Me and before The Posies. More of the show would have been recorded, but, it was too great to sit behind a camera. I don't know if anyone remembers when the sound at the new 9:30 club sucked, but they have fixed that now.

GO! Records: June 2 Squirm and Jen Hitt started off the show outside, behind the Go! building and was to run through to the last act, which was RACECAR. However, a few angry, elderly people living across the street complained about the noise and after a brief talk with a few cops (who were very understanding but had to do their job) the show was moved inside Go!
